EXPH 4170 - Clinical Exercise Physiology for Nursing Provides nursing students with a foundation of the physiological responses to exercise, the assessment of fitness, and the prescription of individualized fitness programs specific to clinical populations.
Requisites: BIOS 1310 or 3450 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Understand the basic principles of exercise physiology in the healthy and disease populations.
- Develop proficiency in applying the principles of exercise testing and interpretation of test results in a clinical setting.
- Develop proficiency in exercise prescription and modifications necessary for clinical populations.
