FILM 3450 - Film Analysis The course offers a study of the dramatic structure in the classical and neo-realist narrative film. Through lectures and screenings, the class introduces concepts of theme, plot, dramatic action, characterization, scene structure, and dialogue.
Requisites: FILM 2440 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture, 2.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Student will be able to create and develop an original story concept.
- Student will be able to design a narrative plot and develop the central character.
- Student will be able to design visuals for the film.
- Student will be able to define the construction of narrative within various film genres.
