Program Overview
The goal of the geography–geographic information science (GISc) major program is to provide a strong technical background to geographers interested in pursuing jobs requiring quantitative geographic analysis skills, and expertise with geographic information systems and related mapping technologies. Geographic information science (GISc) synthesizes theories and techniques from several disciplines to provide students with a multidisciplinary foundation in the design and use of geographic information systems.
