REC 3110 - Expedition Planning & Management Introduces students to knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for effective planning and management of short as well as extended wilderness expeditions. Course topics include goal setting and researching your expedition, training and health considerations, expedition budgeting and finance, logistics and expedition support, transportation and lodging, energy balance and menu planning, equipment, leadership, expedition behavior and communication, and safety and risk management.
