REC 4100 - Professional Development in Recreation and Leisure Services Seminar


This course emphasizes the importance of professional development in the field of recreation and leisure services. The course provides students with understanding of their responsibilities in continually developing and maintaining professional competency as practitioners in the field. It helps students gain an understanding of professional practice, ethical principles, and career development. Additionally, the course provides students with guidance in developing professional portfolios as a means for reflecting on their own professional growth and development, synthesizing their learning over the course of their studies in the program, and portraying their level of professional competency in the field.

Requisites: REC 3050 and 3100
Credit Hours: 3
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
