AST 2010 - Team & Leadership Fundamentals This course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of both leadership and team building. It is imperative that students are taught from the beginning that there are many layers to leadership, including aspects that do not always come to mind. Such things include listening, understanding themselves, being a good follower, and problem-solving efficiently. The students apply these leadership perspectives when completing team-building activities and discussing things like conflict management.
Requisites: AST 1010 and 1020 Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to utilize basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Students will be able to apply both leadership and team building skills.
- Students will be able to identify strategies for effective listening, understanding themselves, being a good follower, and problem solving.
- Students will be able to describe and apply the USAF and USSF Core Values.
