AST 3010 - Leading People & Effective Communication This course is designed to build on the leadership fundamentals taught in AST 2010 & 2020. Students have the opportunity to utilize their skills as they begin more of a leadership role in the detachment. Students gain more in-depth understanding of how to effectively lead people and provide them with tools to use throughout their detachment leadership roles. Students hone their writing and briefing skills.
Requisites: AST 1010, 1020, 2010, and 2020 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to demonstrate basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Students will be able to identify and define tools that can be leveraged to help them hone their leadership skills.
- Students will be able to discuss ethical considerations surrounding leadership principles and case studies.
