INST 625 - Seminar for the African Child
The course uses methodologies from the social sciences to examine important issues in children’s health, education, information dissemination, and medical interventions across the African continent. The children and youth of Africa are the world’s most marginalized population group in terms of poverty and access to social resources. The seminar will address this situation from a variety of methodological and disciplinary angles— maternal literacy and children’s health, for example.
