Application of the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer to the analysis of combustion, pulverized coal combustion, control of gaseous emissions, nuclear fission, steam generators, economizers, preheaters, superheaters, turbines and turbomachinery, stacks, forced and induced draft, feed pumps, and heat balances. Optimization of power plant design and operation.
