S W 551B - Child Welfare II: Addressing Children’s Developmental and Permanency Needs This course is offered to provide knowledge, concepts, and fundamental skills, including skills in critical thinking and problem analysis, for students interested in public and private child welfare. The course focuses on the effects of child maltreatment and child disabilities including child welfare services for children with disabilities. Issues of placement and permanency are considered.
