CE 4170 - Construction Planning and Scheduling Techniques and applications of all aspects of the construction scheduling process; including background on scheduling construction projects, development of work breakdown structures, and transition to element of the construction project schedule; linear scheduling methods for heavy construction, use of real-world examples in civil engineering, and applications using Primavera Project Planner.
Requisites: CE 2160 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. - Students will be introduced to web-based scheduling.
- Students will learn about contingency management.
- Students will learn about contract provisions, resource allocation, and schedule compression.
- Students will learn about schedule forecasting, updating, and reporting.
- Students will learn how to estimate activity durations and develop network diagrams.
- Students will understand CPM, PERT, and earned value method.
