Aspects of highway safety, identification of highway safety problems, and design/implementation/evaluation of highway safety improvement projects and programs.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be introduced to essential concepts and methods related to highway safety.
  • Students will learn how to analyze crash data.
  • Students will learn how to evaluate several possible countermeasures and select one of them.
  • Students will learn how to identify locations with highway safety problems.
