DANC 2220 - Ballet Technique III Expanded balletic movement vocabulary with continued emphasis on basic technical skills. Musicality emphasized.
Requisites: DANC 1221 Credit Hours: 1.5 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 studio Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Continue to address and refine proper alignment, placement and the aesthetic of line in ballet.
- Continue to strengthen and improve basic ballet technique skills through conscious practice in and out of class.
- Develop increased capacity for musical and rhythmic phrasing in the classical ballet tradition.
- To expand ballet movement vocabulary through the addition of intermediate level ballet technique at barre and center.
