DANC 3360 - Dance Movement Lab


Addresses individual problems related to the production of movement. Means to augment physical function and expand the qualitative range of the mover are explored.

Credit Hours: .5 - 5
Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 10.0 hours.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Outcome goals will vary according to the nature of the laboratory experience (i.e. movement genre being explored, theoretical perspective being investigated, physical complexity of the movement lab, etc.).
  • Student will demonstrate application of theory and practice to dance specific movement problems concerning technique, recovery from injury, or performance practice.
  • Students will demonstrate progress or mastery of specific somatic trainings appropriate to the field of dance and their specific movement problem.
