Learning Outcomes:  

  • By the end of the class, students will demonstrate a grasp of significant movements in film history.
  • Greater understanding of technological developments and their aesthetic effects in film history.
  • Greater understanding of the economics of the film industry throughout film history.
  • Students should be able to recognize patterns in motion picture history and apply them in creating an argument about the future of motion pictures.
