MATH 4550 - Basic Principles of Actuarial Science Basic concepts of risk theory and utility theory, applied calculus and probability models for the analysis of claims, frequency and severity of distributions, loss distributions, premium determination, insurance with deductible, reinsurance and self-insurance.
Requisites: MATH 4500 concurrent Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
