MATH 4600 - Introduction to Numerical Analysis A survey of the ideas, methods, and algorithms in Numerical Analysis.
Requisites: MATH 3400 and (3200 or 3210) and (3600 or CS 2300 or 2400 or ET 2100) Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. - Analyze the computational cost and efficiency of such algorithms.
- Construct algorithms to solve mathematical problems based on a common set of strategies.
- Identify the sources of failure of such algorithms, and avoid them.
