DANC 4221 - Ballet Technique VIII Continuation of 4220. Employment of technical skills and performance demands within the classical ballet tradition at the advanced level.
Requisites: DANC 4220 Credit Hours: 1.5 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 studio Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Demonstrate ability to perform complex ballet combinations with attention to clear spatial orientation, accurate reproduction of ballet vocabulary, musicality, and qualitative nuance.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a professional manner through appropriate class habits, practice, and application of feedback/corrections given in class.
- Demonstrate mastery of advanced classical and contemporary ballet skills at barre and center floor.
- Perform all movement with focus on professional presentation appropriate to concert performance and/or audition.
