DANC 2240 - Jazz Dance Technique II Refinement of jazz dance skills through a more complex series of exercises, spatial progressions, and movement phases. Additional emphasis on performance quality, dynamics, and range of motion. Advanced development of skills that address the demands of pre-professional performance.
Requisites: DANC 1240 and dance major or minor Credit Hours: 1.5 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 3.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 studio Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will demonstrate an understanding of the historical, social, and cultural foundations and influences of jazz dance on Euro-American dance forms.
- Students will demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills in jazz movement reproduction, phrasing, qualitive range, and performance attributes.
