ECON 3710 - Cost Benefit Analysis A systematic treatment of all the concepts underlying benefit cost analysis combined with hands on experience in using cost benefit analysis to evaluate actual public projects.
Requisites: ECON 1030 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. - Learning how to use shadow prices from secondary sources to value life, crime,recreation, and pollution.
- Learning to make proper valuations of inputs through opportunity costs and outcomes through properly measuring willingness to pay.
- Learning to use discounting to compare benefits and cost occurring during different time periods.
- Learning to use spreadsheets in calculating a cost benefit analysis.
