HLTH 2250 - Long-Term Care Administration I Present laws, regulations, and standards that impact long-term care facilities management. Covers client rights and responsibilities and their implications in managing such facilities. Stresses ethical and moral issues confronting manager. Reviews risk management and strategies for providing a safe and comfortable environment.
Requisites: MGT 2000 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will demonstrate knowledge in how the regulations are integrated into daily operations.
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators Regulations for the State of Ohio.
- Students will demonstrate what Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires through Federal Regulation of Nursing Facilities.
- Students will describe how, as Administrators, to recognize quality of care provided in their facility.
