ISE 4150 - Information Systems Engineering An introduction to applications of information systems industry and the design and implementation of these systems. Students will also learn systems modeling and database development.
Requisites: ISE 2100 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to define and describe the main characteristics of computer based information systems.
- Students will be able to describe how data, information, and knowledge differ in information systems.
- Students will be able to explain the flow of information and how it supports various operations in an organization.
- Students will be able to explain the role of enterprise information systems such as Customer Relationship Management, Supply chain Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning.
- Students will be able to develop conceptual database design and implement it in a database management system.
