ETM 3620 - Supervision and Leadership Examines the basic principles of supervision, planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling people and operations and their application to actual on the job situations.
Requisites: COMS 1030 and MGT 2000 and Advanced standing in ETM and Jr or Sr Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. - Students will be able to explain the relationship of planning, organizing, leading and controlling in the role of supervisor.
- Students will be able to apply traditional motivational theories as a supervisor.
- Students will be able to describe the impact of team and group dynamics in the organization.
- Students will be able to explain the role of the supervisor in workplace health and safety.
- Students will be able to explain decision making in the employment process.
- Students will be able to explain impact of key labor laws and organized labor on the role of the supervisor.
