MATH 4993 - Undergraduate Mathematics Seminar I Students participate in a weekly seminar on topics in mathematics that are beyond the material covered in our regular courses. During the first semester the student will develop a proposal for a topic of interest to be presented in the second semester.
Requisites: MATH 3300 and (MATH 3200 or MATH 3210) and (MATH 3050 or CS 3000) and (Jr or Sr) Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to integrate advanced topics in mathematics and its applications into a plan for individual study.
- Students will be able to develop an outline for a seminar in a chosen topic.
