MDIA 2800 - Digital Video Postproduction Students examine and apply processes and tools used with digital nonlinear editing. Students engage through a series of demonstrations, tutorials, and hands-on technical exercises.
Requisites: MDIA 1450 or MDIA 1350 or EM2160 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to describe how edited images, audio, and graphics can effectively tell a story and communicate an idea.
- Students will be able to identify and practice the procedures necessary to edit video, audio, and other assets in non-linear editing software.
- Students will be able to analyze the effective use of editing in professional audiovisual work.
- Students will be able to critically evaluate the effective use of editing in their own audiovisual work and that of their peers.
- Students will be able to identify and practice project management tasks and responsibilities.
