NUTR 2990 - Professional Development in Food and Nutrition Sciences Development of an awareness of the philosophy, goals, organizations, and requirements of food, nutrition, and applied nutrition professions.
Requisites: C or better in (NUTR 1000 and 1100) or concurrent and Soph or Jr or Sr Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Demonstrate use of current information technologies used in the fields of food, nutrition, and applied nutrition.

- Identify and describe the roles of others with whom food, nutrition, and applied nutrition professionals collaborate in the delivery of food and nutrition services.
- State and describe settings where food, nutrition, and applied nutrition professionals carry out services.
- State the components of a professional portfolio.
