PAW 2200 - Water Safety for Instructors Includes analysis of swimming and teaching practices.
Requisites: PAW 2301 Credit Hours: 2 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 lecture, 2.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - The students will be able to plan and implement a variety of aquatic lessons for all ages.
- The students will be able to understand the history of the American Red Cross and how it has evolved over time.
- The students will be able to apply learning theories into the teaching and learning process.
- The students will be able to describe how to be safe in and around the water.
- The students will be able to develop units of instruction to meet all skill levels and abilities.
