RFM 1500 - Design and Illustration Techniques This course covers design and illustration techniques in relation to stylization and customer profiling in fashion. A variety of media are introduced for visually communicating through a variety of presentation formats.
Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 lecture, 4.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to compile and organize illustrative work in preparation for the professional portfolio.
- Students will be able to construct successful composition and layout of design concepts.
- Students will be able to identify appropriate media to use when executing fashion illustrations.
- Students will be able to demonstrate the fundamental elements and principles of design.
- Students will be able to develop drawing skills to draw croquis to illustrate fashion designs.
- Students will be able to identify and articulate customer profiling and marketing techniques.
