REC 3620 - Convention and Event Planning Synthesis of sequence of events required in planning a convention, meeting, or function in either a professional or social setting.
Requisites: (REC 2010 or RHT 1100) and WARNING: Not COMS 4050 or RHT 3620 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Student will develop event proposals and plan the logistics of event implementation.
- Students will be able to develop promotional materials and a strategy for marketing an event.
- Students will implement an event staying on budget.
- Students will implement events and assess the outcomes.
- Students will work with clients to plan and implement events in accordance with customer/client needs and desires.
