RHT 4700 - Casino Management II An expansion of the materials covered in Casino Management I, including Nevada & Ohio Gaming Regulation, Cage operations, Advanced Slot Operations, Three Card Poker, & Fan Tan, Race & Sports Book Operations and Casino Marketing.
Requisites: RHT 3700 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Examine the operating protocol of the following games: Three-card poker and Fan Tan.
- Examine the organizational structure of the Race and Sports Book and its operation.
- Gain an advanced understanding of slot operations, with topics ranging from strategy of floor design, basic par sheet calculations, game volatility, and server-based gaming.
- Increase your understanding of casino marketing activities directed at both hosted and unassigned players (i.e., players without hosts).
- Provide a general description and overview of cage operations.
- Provide you with an advanced understanding of casino operations and the unique challenges of managing a multi-faceted hospitality operation where the business is never closed.
- Provide you with an understanding of Nevada Gaming Regulation and its impact on the development of Ohio Gaming Regulation.
