ENG 3910 - Sigma Tau Delta Executive Leadership Students organize and run the Ohio University chapter of the national English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta.
Credit Hours: 1 OHIO BRICKS Bridge: Learning and Doing Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 field experience/internship Grades: Eligible Grades: F,CR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to connect their knowledge of English studies to the needs of Sigma Tau Delta.
- Students will be able to describe connections across the multiple subdisciplines of English as they relate to faculty and student event expectations.
- Students will be able to apply previous leadership experiences to the day-to-day running of a student organization.
- Students will be able to communicate with other students through emails, in-person meetings, and other media using formats that enhance their meaning and effectiveness.
- Students will be able to describe aspects of leadership appropriate for student organizations.
- Students will be able to reflect on their own leadership abilities and use their self-assessment to improve their work in a voluntary or student organization.
