FILM 2070 - Intro to Post-Production This course offers an introduction to non-linear editing software and narrative editing practices and techniques. Throughout the class, students will use a variety of editing software and discover how different editing strategies can be used in narrative filmmaking.
Requisites: Film Majors Only (UG) Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to use non-linear editing software to edit their films.
- Students will be able to articulate the value of different editorial choices in the editing process.
- Students will be able to use different media formats in a post-production environment.
- Students will be able to use basic color grading skills in their project edits.
