FILM 4760 - Feature Screenwriting I Students write an outline, treatment, and first act of a feature screenplay. Covers advanced screenwriting structure and technique.
Requisites: Film Majors Only and FILM 3450 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture, 2.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to analyze a screenplay in relation to standard feature screenplay structure.
- Students will be able to write a screenplay using standard feature screenplay structure.
- Students will be able to craft effective dialogue in a feature screenplay.
- Students will be able to give effective critique of student screenplay in a workshop setting.
- Students will be able to situate a screenplay in its cultural and historical landscape.
