GEOG 3031 - Meteorological Observations This course provides insight into the fundamental procedures of collecting, organizing and interpreting meteorological parameters which allows students to understand and predict the behavior of the atmosphere.
Requisites: GEOG 3010 or concurrent Credit Hours: 2 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.

Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to describe the multiple and widespread uses of observations in the field of meteorology, ranging from assessing current conditions to long-term climate monitoring.
- Students will be able to describe meteorological instrumentation and observation techniques to better understand how meteorologists monitor weather and climate.
- Students will be able to make and explain inferences about general atmospheric conditions and processes from various observational data.
- Students will be able to accurately discuss current weather conditions from an observational standpoint.
