ML 2950 - Field Studies Abroad


Designed to introduce participants in various study abroad programs to various aspects of life in target country.

Requisites: Permission required
Credit Hours: 1 to 3
OHIO BRICKS: Bridge: Learning and Doing
Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 9.0 hours.

Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 laboratory

  • The successful student will appreciate and understand cultural differences between the host country and the US
  • The successful student will evaluate and analyze experiences in the host country from an informed and open-minded point of view.
  • The successful student will have improved linguistically through acquisition of vocabulary and increased fluency.
  • The successful student will know how and why to behave in manners that are culturally appropriate in the host country.
  • The successful student will understand the contemporary and historical significance of major landmarks in the host country after having visited them.
