FR 3915 - Internship for French Majors and Minors This course involves linguistic, cultural and environmental immersion while introducing the student to professional experiences in French and Francophone cultures.
Requisites: FR 3120 Credit Hours: 3 OHIO BRICKS: Bridge: Learning and Doing Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 6.0 internship Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to connect relevant cultural experiences to their academic knowledge of French and Francophone cultures and the French language.
- Students will be able to identify how their French language proficiency and knowledge of cultural perspectives relate to their professional interactions in the French and Francophone workplace.
- Students will be able to adapt and apply problem-solving and critical-thinking skills gained in the workplace to career paths relating to French and Francophone cultures.
- Students will be able to articulate, in both oral and written form, reports of their professional experiences using formats, language, or visual representations that enhance meaning.
- Students will be able to demonstrate a developing sense of self as a learner and expand on the cultural experience as it relates to future interests and challenges in French and Francophone cultures.
