ORG 3120 - Leadership Language: Writing with Impact in Organizations Students craft strategic, persuasive, and inclusive communications tailored to organizational contexts. Students revise, edit, and proofread writing in order to further action and provide reflection related to an organization’s direction and values.
Requisites: ENG 1510 Credit Hours: 3 OHIO BRICKS: Foundations: Advanced Writing Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to analyze the role of written communication in shaping organizational culture, driving change, and influencing leadership.
- Students will be able to compose strategic and persuasive documents tailored to specific organizational audiences.
- Students will be able to integrate credible evidence and data into workplace writing to support recommendations, justify decisions, and insprire action.
- Students will be able to draft, revise, edit, and proofread for clarity and impact.
- Students will be able to critique organizational writing samples for effectiveness, bias, and alignment with strategic goals.
