Program Overview
The AGP in Accountancy provides well-qualified and prepared students who are seeking to expand their accounting knowledge beyond the coursework required for completion of the undergraduate accounting degree the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accountancy while completing some courses toward the Master of Accountancy and Analytics (MAcc). Students may complete up to 9 credit hours of graduate-level coursework under the AGP. Students will be eligible to enroll in courses when they have earned or are in-process of completing 90 credit hours.
Admissions Information
Students are eligible to apply through the MAcc Early Assurance Pathway. Students approved for the AGP through the Early Assurance Pathway can enroll in courses when they have earned or are in-process of completing 90 credit hours. Applicants are expected to have a minimum 3.2 overall GPA and a minimum 3.2 GPA in ACCT courses.
Opportunities Upon Graduation
Successful completion of the AGP in Accountancy better prepares students for careers in management and accounting.
Requirements
The following courses may be completed prior to earning the bachelor’s degree:
- ACCT 5400: Single Entity Accounting and Tax Planning (3 hours)
- ACCT 5600: Multiple Entity Accounting and Tax Planning (3 hours)
- ACCT 5700: Data Analytics for Accounting (3 hours)
The hours earned in these graduate courses may count toward the total hours needed for the bachelor’s degree. However, these courses may not fulfill specific undergraduate degree requirements other than the total hours required for graduation.
